Angel Tree Ministry

Central Lutheran Church supports the Angel Tree/Prison Fellowship Program!  Can you support Angel Tree by donation or buying a gift this Christmas for a child on behalf of a parent in prison?

Angel Tree is a ministry that reaches out to the children of prisoners and their families with the love of Christ, offering churches an opportunity to share Christ’s love by serving the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the families of prisoners.

During the Christmas season, local church volunteers purchase and deliver gifts and the Gospel to children in the name of their parent behind bars. Thousands of families are served every year by church members who generously give of their time and resources.

The Angel Tree program thru Prison Fellowship since 1982 has supported over 9 MILLION kids with a gift, the gospel word and message from the incarcerated parent!  Each child needs to know that Jesus Loves Them!

2020 has brought some unique challenges.  Families have not been able to get in to prisons to see their parents in over 6 months.  There are over 215,000 children in the Angel Tree Program that need gifts.

Watch for more information about this year’s Angel Tree Program.  With the Covid restrictions in place – there may be a few changes.  But we do want to support the Angel Tree/Prison Fellowship Program.

There will be options:

  1. If you are comfortable with buying gifts/wrapping/bringing to church in a plastic bag – clearly marked for child & family.
  2. Purchase gift thru Amazon and have it delivered directly to child
  3. Purchase and mail gift to child
  4. Donate money – we will do the rest.

Christmas gifts for children:  Spending suggestion $20.  Each child will receive a clothing item and toy – two presents  per child.  Church members can donate $ or buy a gift.

Thank you for your support of this program, and making a child’s Christmas special!
