Leadership

The Central Lutheran Church community has over 30 years of history touching the lives of members, visitors, and winter residents living in Arizona City and the greater Casa Grande area. The membership of the congregation consists of nearly 150 families.

Pastor Thom Stephens (contact) has served at Central since 1992. He is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound (1979) and Luther Theological Seminary (1984) and earlier served as a pastor in Scottsbluff, NE and Scottsdale, AZ. He enjoys activities such as hiking, softball, biking, golfing, watching sports and reading a good novel. His latest hobby has taken him to see a game played in every major league baseball stadium. Thom is originally from Santa Clara, CA and is a loyal fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Giants. He and his wife, Alyson, live in Arizona City and have three adult children and one granddaughter.

The church council consists of 12 members.
